Armanini, Langerholc Announce Nearly $1 Million in Grant Funds for Clearfield County

December 18, 2025

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk) and Sen. Wayne Langerholc Jr. (R-35) today announced almost $1 million in Local Share Account (LSA) funding invested in the Clearfield County portion of the 75th Legislative District.

“This state funding will allow our communities to advance essential improvement projects and make critical equipment purchases that often come with substantial expense,” said Langerholc.  “Together with Rep. Armanini in championing our shared priorities, I’m confident these resources will ease the burden on local taxpayers while enhancing quality of life across our communities.”

Projects funded by this round of LSA grants in the 75th Legislative District:

Brady Township received $38,656 for upgrades to the Ace Valley pump station.
Brady Township also received $77,500 for a new four-wheel rotary sweeper.
Curwensville Borough received $79,700 for a new police patrol vehicle.
The Curwensville Lake Authority received $140,000 for parking lot repair.
Grampian Borough received $33,300 for a new backhoe.
The Huston Township Municipal Authority received $99,192 for a new utility truck.
The Huston Township Municipal Authority also received $60,211 for a new excavator.
Mahaffey Borough received $120,529 for a new utility truck.
Penn Township received $29,178 for a gravel and dirt road maintainer.
Pike Township received $60,000 for a new truck with a snowplow.
Union Township received $124,780 for the repair and repaving of Anderson Creek Road.
Union Township also received $122,013 for a new dump truck.

“Local Share Account grants are about putting resources directly into the hands of our communities,” Armanini stated. “Whether it’s upgrading emergency services, improving public spaces or supporting local development, these grants help meet real needs with real results. I’m proud to support funding that strengthens the backbone of rural Pennsylvania and thank Sen. Langerholc for his commitment to our area and for working with me to secure these funds.”

LSA grants are distributed competitively for projects that need funding and are in the public interest, which improve the quality of life of citizens in the community and are owned and maintained by an eligible applicant or a nonprofit organization.

Eligible projects include construction or renovation, acquisition, equipment and infrastructure. Eligible applicants include individual counties, boroughs and townships; municipal authorities; economic development agencies; and redevelopment authorities.

LSA grants are facilitated through distribution of gaming revenue by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established in 2004 to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages.

Questions about this or any state government issue should be directed to Armanini’s DuBois office at 814-375-4688.
